Community Guidelines
Last updated: April 2026
SocialDiverse is a space built on empathy, inclusion, and mutual respect. These guidelines exist to keep our community safe and welcoming for neurodiverse individuals, parents, caregivers, educators, therapists, and researchers.
1. Be Kind and Respectful
Treat every member with dignity. Disagreements happen — express them constructively. Personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory language based on neurodiversity, disability, race, religion, gender, or any other characteristic will not be tolerated.
2. This Is Not Medical Advice
Information shared here is for peer support and informational purposes only. It does not replace professional medical, therapeutic, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for health decisions. Do not share unverified treatments or make medical claims.
3. Protect Privacy — Especially Children's
Never share personally identifiable information about another person without their consent. When sharing about children, use care — avoid photos or details that could identify them without parental consent. Respect other members' privacy.
4. No Spam, Advertising, or Self-Promotion
Unsolicited promotional content, affiliate links, or repeated off-topic posting is not allowed. Professionals and organisations may share relevant resources — but the primary purpose must be to help, not to sell.
5. Keep It Constructive
Share experiences, ask questions, offer support, and celebrate wins. Content that is deliberately inflammatory, misleading, or intended to cause distress will be removed.
6. Report, Don't Retaliate
If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the report function. Do not engage in retaliatory behaviour — let the moderation team handle it.
7. Enforcement
Violations may result in content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the community, depending on severity. Our moderation team makes these decisions at their discretion.
